BRIDGEPORT, CT – JUNE 13, 2018 – The iconic former Connecticut Post Building located at 410 State Street in Bridgeport, CT, sold for $1,150,000, announced Jon Angel, President of Angel Commercial, LLC, a commercial real estate firm based in Southport, CT. The property consists of a 57,870 SF four-story brick building built in 1928 with an attached parking garage on 0.64 acres.
A New York City investor purchased the property from Hearst CT Post LLC. “They executed the purchase as part of a 1031 exchange,” states Angel who represented the buyer. “The plan is to remodel the building and offer it for lease.”
At the corner of State Street and Courtland Street, the property is located in downtown Bridgeport and is close to restaurants, banks, and Housatonic Community College. It is immediately off I-95 and Route 8, and close to the Bridgeport Amtrak / Metro-North Train Station.
